Pixel & Ship is written by Talha Riaz, a UI/UX designer and top-rated Upwork freelancer. It exists to answer one question well: which tool should a designer or freelancer actually use?
Who I am
I've worked as a designer for more than eight years across UI/UX, brand identity, packaging and creative direction. Since 2019 I've freelanced on Upwork, where I've completed 50+ projects for clients in the US, UK and Middle East and hold a top-rated profile. Most of that work ended up on a website builder of some kind, which is where this site comes from.
How I test tools
- I build or rebuild something real with the tool, usually a portfolio page or a client-style landing page.
- I check pricing on the vendor's own page on the date shown at the top of each article.
- When something comes from the vendor or from other people's reports rather than my own use, I say so.
- I update articles when prices or features change, and the "updated" date shows when.
How this site makes money
Through affiliate links and, later, display ads. If you sign up for a tool through a link here, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide a verdict; a tool that pays nothing can still win. The affiliate disclosure has the details.
